Wireless on Windows 2000

Before attempting connection to York Tech's wireless network, verify the following conditions:

1. Your computer is running Windows 2000 with SP4 (service pack 4). (How do I determine the service pack?)

2. The Wireless Configuration service is set to start automatically when the system boots. (How?)

3. Configure the wireless network authentication according to the following specifications. (How to Configure Windows 2000 for Wireless Authentication)

4. Configure the wireless network client. This depends on the wireless adapter purchased. For assistance with this configuration, please see a lab assistant in A-208.  

 Refer to lab assistants in A-208 for further assistance.
