Wireless on XP

Before attempting connection to York Tech's wireless network, verify the following conditions:

1. Your computer is running Windows XP (Home or Pro) with SP1 (service pack 1). (How do I determine the service pack?)

2. The Wireless Zero Configuration service is set to start automatically when the system boots. (How?)

3. Configure the wireless network authentication according to the following specifications. (How to Configure XP for Wireless Authentication)

4. Configure the wireless network client. This depends on the wireless adapter purchased. For assistance with this configuration, please see a lab assistant in A-208.
